I wanted to personally thank you and the committee for selecting me as this year’s Jordan McFaull Scholarship recipient. Although I never met Jordan, there are many fond memories of him expressed at Beechwood as well as in the communities he had an opportunity to touch. All I can say is WOW! Jordan was certainly a young man you can be proud of! I know you feel blessed by the opportunity to keep his name alive.
As you already know, I have Type 1 diabetes and know all the challenges that it encompasses in day-to-day life. Jordan certainly did not let his disease interfere with his genuine nature, his service to others, nor his career goals. I hope to continue to model that same steadfast path.
Again, thank you for choosing me as this year’s recipient. I want to assure you that I will work to continue Jordan’s legacy of leadership, character and honesty. I hope to keep in touch so that you will see that I, too, was successful like Jordan.
